Eruption of the volcano Krakatoa (located on the island Krakatoa between the islands of Java and Sumatra in Indonesia) in 1883 was one of the most catastrophic events in the history of human kind.
This eruption almost completely destroyed the island of Krakatoa and killed more then 35.000 people.
